This scan details Mega Altaria. It's type has changed to Dragon/Fairy, a unique type combination. It also now has the ability Pixilate, which changes any of the Normal type moves it has into Fairy type moves.

This scan details Mega Lopunny. It's type has changed to Normal/Fighting, a unique type combination once held by only Pirouette Forme Meloetta. It has the ability Scrappy, which allows Normal and Fighting type moves to hit Ghost types. It also knows the move Hi Jump Kick, a move it couldn't learn before Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire much like how Shiftry was seen using Leaf Blade in last month's CoroCoro scans. Also, Lopunny getting a Mega Evolution may confirm that it is possibly part of the Hoenn Dex now.

This scan details Mega Salamence. It remains Dragon/Flying type. It has the ability Aerilate, which changes Normal type moves into Flying type moves.

It has quite an odd design that has quickly made it the subject of memes and hatred among many people because it of it's wings, not having any arms (the arms are tucked in), looks like the Rebels logo from the Star Wars movies, a UFO, Frisbee, etc. Personally, I like the design and couldn't of seen Game Freak doing much different (except maybe make the wings separate and have the arms sticking out in the artwork).

Contests are detailed in this scan. There is a Contest Idol called Lucia (she wasn't in the original Ruby and Sapphire), who will give you special clothes for participating in Pokémon Contests. The clothes Brendan and May are wearing are the clothes that Pikachu was shown wearing last month. It stands to reason that like Pikachu, the protagonists will also be to wear costumes representing the 5 Contest types. The scan also notes a shiny Beldum that players can receive through an event in the future, where it holds it's Mega Stone. It is possible that you will only be able to receive the Mega Stone for Metagross through Event much like how you could only get the Blazikenite for Blaziken through an event at the launch of X and Y last year. We'll let you know when have more information on Shiny Mega Metagross such as moves it can learn and the method of distribution. So stay tuned for more!

This scan confirms that when you change your Pikachu's cosplay for contests, it gets special moves. Pikachu Rock Star gets the move Meteor Mash, Pikachu Ph. D. knows Electric Terrain, Pikachu Pop Star knows Draining Kiss, Pikachu Belle knows Icicle Crash and Pikachu Libre knows Flying Press. It has also been confirmed that only Pikachu will able to have costumes, and that no other species will be able to

CoroCoro has been leaked for August, thanks to chisa_suiran (Japanese), and as we were told in the July edition, we have new Mega Pokémon! That's right, we now have confirmation for Mega Altaria and Mega Lopunny. Mega Altaria has been confirmed to be Dragon/Fairy with the ability Pixilate while Mega Lopunny is Normal/Fighting with the ability Scrappy. Mega Salamence has also been revealed in the leak, which retains the typing Dragon/Flying but has the ability Aerilate! We also have crucial information about the new Contest Pikachu as well!
The Cosplay Pikachu that we've seen earlier has been confirmed to have special, unique moves based on which outfit it is wearing. The Rock Star Pikachu has Meteor Mash, the Pikachu Ph. D has Electric Terrain, Pop Star Pikachu has Draining Kiss, Pikachu Belle has Icicle Crash, and Pikachu Libre has Flying Press.

Contests are explained in more detail this issue, and the player can receive a Shiny Beldum holding the Mega Stone for Metagross in-game. Additionally, a new character, Lucia (ルチア), has been introduced and she is said to give players special clothes for participating in Pokémon Contests.

The next batch of CoroCoro information has been posted to Japanese forums and this batch showcases more information about the upcoming game Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire. This reveals Mega Altaria, who is Dragon/Fairy with Pixilate and Mega Lopunny who is Normal/Fighting with Scrappy. It now knows the move High Jump Kick.

Pages from this month's issue of CoroCoro have surfaced, revealing three new Mega Evolutions.

Mega Lopunny is Normal/Fighting and has the Ability Scrappy; it is 1.3 m (4'03") tall and weighs 28.3 kg (62.3 lbs.). Mega Altaria is Dragon/Fairy and has the Ability Pixilate; it is 1.5 m (4'11") tall and weighs 20.6 kg (45.4 lbs.). Mega Salamence is Dragon/Flying and has the Ability Aerilate; it is 1.8 m (4'11") tall and weighs 112.6 kg (247.8 lbs.).

Each of the Pikachu costumes has an associated move. Pikachu Rock Star gets Meteor Mash; Pikachu, Ph.D gets Electric Terrain; Pikachu Pop Star gets Draining Kiss; Pikachu Belle gets Icicle Crash; Pikachu Libre gets Flying Press.

In the games, the player will encounter Contest Idol Lucia, who has an Altaria. She gives the player clothes to wear in Pokémon Contests.

Players that purchase the game early will be able to get a Shiny Beldum holding its Mega Stone. It is not clear exactly how it will be made available.

• Mega Altaria is Dragon / Fairy and has Pixilate. Its Attack gets a boost. It's the exact same weight as before, but taller (1.5m vs. 1.1m).
• Mega Lopunny is Normal / Fighting and has Scrappy. Its Attack and Special Attack are improved. It's slightly taller and much lighter than before (Mega: 1.3m / 28.3 kg, Normal: 1.2m / 33.3 kg).
• Mega Salamence is Dragon / Flying and has Aerilate. Its Defense gets a boost. It's taller and a little heavier than before (Mega: 1.8m / 112.6 kg, Normal: 1.5m / 102.6 kg).
• Details can't be seen right now, but players can get a shiny Beldum with its Mega Stone via an event when the games come out.
• A new character, Lucia, is a Contest Idol and gives you clothes that you can wear for Pokemon Contests. She owns an Altaria.
• Pikachu gets special Pokemon Contest moves when you dress it up. Pikachu Rock Star gets Meteor Mash, Pikachu PhD gets Electric Terrain, Pikachu Pop Star gets Draining Kiss, Pikachu Belle gets Icicle Crash, and Pikachu Libre gets Flying Press.
